How it all started

The New Zealand Valley Gold story began when we planted a nashi and pear orchard on the family farm in the Baton Valley. It was essential that we had healthy bees to pollinate our orchard, to ensure our trees produced fruit every autumn.  From here grew a deep respect and fascination for honeybees and the magic they create.  

Together, with the help of our three enthusiastic children, we’ve grown our family business. We care for our bees which live in hives in the native forest surrounding our home. 

These days our family works together to make real, raw Manuka and other native honeys to share with honey lovers throughout the world.
